Overall it's done pretty well. The interview is done well. The audio is clear and Evan is framed properly. The only thing that could be better is the choice of where you shot it. The background is pretty ugly, I have to say. It's messy and has nothing to do with Evan. You need to really pay attention to things like that. What do you see when you frame up your subject? What don't you want us to see? As the photographer you have the power to show us exactly what you want us to see. Right now I see a messy background. The story is interesting as you have a lot of info about Evan that we would never have known otherwise. I like how after he mentioned how happy he was in getting into CKTV, the next things that were talked about were the Kokee trip and STN. If Ty didn't say anything in the opening and closing this would have been a good example of a nat sound package where the story is told by the subject and not a reporter. I think it needed more VOs to help move the story along to bridge the different points you are telling us about Evan. He does a great job in repeating the questions in his answers but it still could use some VOs at various points. I liked the cut in of Evan in the beginning. However later your b-roll shots are more like jump cuts because the angle doesn't change all that much. Go look at the one where you're looking through what looks like VR goggles with Lukas. The two shots there are almost exactly alike. You need to mix up your shots and sequence them better. Good use of zooming in on still pics to add motion. Don't reuse b-roll shots though. You used the same shot of Evan looking at the camera again at the end. Overall it was done well!
I will be working with Shayne and will interview Evan.
