The interviews took quite a while to film. It took me many takes to get a interview. It was either out of focus, the mic was off, not enough head room, or there were too much background sounds, or someone was walking behind us. It tested us, and we learned from our mistakes. We were happy that we interviewed our classmate, and it was very kind of him to keep coming back to retake. I’ll try to never retake a whole entire interview again, especially with someone who I interview in 2nd quarter. Anyway, I finally shot a interview that was good.
For the b-roll, there are some issues with the timing, but it is very likely that we’ll get what we want. The way he answered made the b-roll a bit easier, and not as confusing as the first one. We are looking at the interview and are making something like a b-roll list. We might have to switch out some of our questions, with our extra footage so we can get b-roll for the whole video.
Now onto the editing. Thankfully, my summer partner fixed the questions we had so they were in a sensible order. This is something that I forgot to do and he did it for me. If you’re reading this Shayne, thank you. This will make the editing process much easier than before. We have an idea of what order the b-roll will be in and it seems possible.
That is where I am on my Personal Profile, and the planned process. This was a fun project, and learned a lot from our mistakes. I grew a lot over a small amount of time, and feel like we will make it before the deadline, with time to do some final touches. By the time you're reading this, I might've done more work.
